At Eureka 2026, you’ll learn how to build a business, what decisions drive its growth, and how to tackle the challenges of entrepreneurship. Next Wednesday, October 28, the UIS Emprende entrepreneurship summit will bring together entrepreneurs, creators, and experts who will share their experiences during a virtual event that is free and open to the public, starting at 8:00 a.m.
Now in its eleventh year, the event offers participants the opportunity to learn directly from those who have brought their ideas to sectors such as healthcare, biotechnology, wellness, artificial intelligence, and audiovisual production. Participation requires only prior registration and an internet connection, allowing attendees to access the program from anywhere.
One of the guests will be Felipe Saruma, content creator and founder of Vertical Cinema Estudios, who will present the talk “Professionally Empirical.” His journey through social media and the building of an audiovisual company with international reach will give attendees a glimpse into an experience where creativity becomes a business opportunity.
The agenda will also address a key question for those looking to grow their projects: how to secure investment. Santiago Rojas Montoya, co-founder of Cube Capital and General Partner at Meridian 75, will lead the session “How to Raise Capital.” Meanwhile, storyteller and consultant Luis Felipe Barrientos will present “Problem Solving: The Path of Creative Thinking,” on the role of creativity in tackling challenges.
In addition to these three presentations, there will be two panel discussions that will explore different ways to transform knowledge and community needs into business proposals.
The first panel will feature María Alexandra Artunduaga, founder of Samay; Andrés Anaya Isaza, co-founder of Indigo Holding; Natalia Cano, pediatrician and founder of Docokids; and Santiago Hernández Villamizar, scientific director of Sciphage S.A.S. Their experiences will give the audience insight into startups developing solutions for health, well-being, agriculture, and environmental sustainability.
The second panel discussion will bring together Natalia Jiménez Aristizábal, founder and CEO of Xaia Lab; Esteban Hernández Dugand, commercial director and co-founder of Superfüds; and Natalia Salcedo Franco, founder and CEO of Pitz. Through their career paths, attendees will learn about experiences related to artificial intelligence, the entry of wellness products into major retail chains, and the technological transformation of automotive services.
For those who have an idea, are taking their first steps, or are looking to strengthen a business, Eureka will be a space to broaden their perspective, identify opportunities, and discover insights they can apply to their own projects.
The event is open to students, graduates, entrepreneurs, business owners, and the general public. It will take place on October 28, starting at 8:00 a.m., online and free of charge.
