
Students from the Neuroscience and Behavior Research Group at the Industrial University of Santander participated in the Anatomy and Morphology Congress by presenting posters.
The first, entitled “Anatomical basis of physiological tremor and characterization of hand tremor in young adults,” was presented by professors Carlos Conde and Angie Naranjo, and student Jennifer Zárate.
The second research project, “Neuroanatomy of human sleep: structural mechanisms and regulation of its phases,” was presented by students Juan Amaya and Valentina Ortega, and professor Angie Naranjo.
The research group is currently led by professors Angie Naranjo and Carlos Conde, attached to the Department of Basic Sciences of the School of Medicine, and is part of the UIS-UPB Neuroscience and Behavior research group of the same department.
The lines of research include topics related to development in neuropsychological assessment, emotional memory associated with anxiety and depression disorders, the study of emotional memory in humans, and psychophysiological assessment.
