Starting next week, sedes regionales UIS will serve as the starting point for a new round of cocreation sessions for the proposed Vicerrectoría de Bienestar, following those held in November 2025.
Students, faculty members, and professional and non-professional staff in the different employment modalities will come together in working groups to enrich this initiative, which seeks to join efforts to strengthen well-being and quality of life throughout the UIS community.
Libraries, auditoriums, and reading and study rooms at the regional campuses in Málaga, Barrancabermeja, Barbosa, and Socorro will host the meetings during the first week of the cocreation sessions. These activities will conclude on Saturday, September 5, with a meeting for IPRED virtual and distance-learning students, held through the Zoom platform.
Meetings in Bucaramanga and the Metropolitan Area
Between September 7 and 11, the cocreation sessions will be held for the university community of the different faculties and academic programs of the Universidad Industrial de Santander in the Bucaramanga metropolitan area, including the in-person IPRED meeting.
Students, faculty members, and professional and non-professional staff in the different employment modalities are invited to actively participate and contribute their proposals to this collective-building initiative.
“We extend a special invitation to our entire student, faculty, and administrative staff community to attend, participate, and share their contributions toward the creation of the Office of Student and Community Well-Being. We seek to ensure that this joint effort enables us to present the Superior Council with a proposal outlining the strategic priorities and governance structure that will foster the development of opportunities and capabilities for the well-being of the UIS community through efficient, comprehensive, preventive, participatory, and coordinated management,” stated vicerrector administrativo, Gerardo Latorre Bayona.
