Asistentes a la Feria de emprendimiento

Nearly 1,290 students engaged in activities centered on science and business, and around 650 academic and entrepreneurial projects were presented during the 44th edition of the Academic and Scientific Event Entrepreneurs: Fostering Business Initiatives, held on June 13 at the main campus of the Industrial University of Santander (UIS).

Throughout the event, participants showcased applied research proposals, market studies, business plans, innovative business models, agro-industrial initiatives, and a wide range of academic projects developed by students from the Business Technology, Business Management, Agro-Industrial Programs, and Pharmacy Administration Technology programs, among others.

In addition, students from the Judicial Management and Criminal Investigation Technology program captured the audience’s attention with an academic crime scene reconstruction exercise. Meanwhile, the Fine Arts program enriched the event with a contemporary performance art presentation.

The academic event also featured an open participation space through the Free Category, where various members of the UIS community joined the event to showcase and market their own startups and operating businesses.

The projects presented reflected the student community’s commitment to transforming their environments through initiatives focused on business development, regional growth, social innovation, and the creation of new productive opportunities.
