The construction of the new campus of the Universidad Industrial de Santander campus in Málaga continues to consolidate itself as one of the most important educational infrastructure projects for the García Rovira province and the department of Santander.
With the purpose of verifying the progress of the construction works and planning new actions for its strengthening, the university rector, Hernán Porras Díaz, carried out an official visit to the project, which is currently advancing in different construction phases.
During the tour, the rector personally inspected the progress of the various modules that will be part of the new university campus, a project aimed at expanding and modernizing spaces dedicated to academic training, research, and university welfare.
The visit also allowed the evaluation of technical and structural aspects of the project, while providing guidelines focused on the strengthening and comprehensive improvement of this important educational infrastructure, which represents a strategic commitment to the social, scientific, and academic development of the region.

One of the most important announcements made by the rector was the upcoming delivery of five fully equipped modules, spaces that will continue strengthening the academic and administrative activities of the UIS Málaga campus.
These new facilities will provide adequate conditions for the development of high-quality educational processes, directly benefiting students, professors, and administrative staff. Likewise, the new campus is expected to contribute to the expansion of educational coverage in the province and create greater opportunities for young people in Santander.
The university administration reaffirmed its commitment to the progress of this project, considered a regional-impact initiative that will continue strengthening the presence of the Universidad Industrial de Santander in northeastern Colombia.
