The registration process for cases of academic vulnerability for the 2026-1 cafeteria service is now open.

Attention, students of the Industrial University of Santander (UIS): from Friday, October 3, until October 10, the registration process will be open for the identification of the academically vulnerable group for the 2026-1 cafeteria service. This group is made up of students who, due to family, economic, or social situations, are at risk of losing their undergraduate status due to poor academic performance.

Vulnerability criteria for requesting a study:

-Student diagnosed with malnutrition, as confirmed by the Health and Psychosocial Development Section.

-Family Economic Unit (U.E.F.) without affiliation to the social security system under the contributory regime (father and mother do not contribute).

-Father or mother deceased within the last year.

-Father or mother deprived of liberty.

-Students orphaned by both parents.

-Member of the U.E.F. suffering from a high-cost illness.

-Member of the U.E.F. who needs permanent care at home.

-Students who are single mothers or fathers, with dependent children, and who live with them while studying at the University.

-Students linked to the state strategy for overcoming extreme poverty, Red Unidos.

-Indigenous peoples, Afro-Colombians or Afro-descendants, Raizales, and Roma (Gypsy community).

Steps to register on the UIS website:

1. Go to the website www.uis.edu.co  /students / undergraduate-on-campus. Enter your UIS student code and personal password. Select the current academic system:

*Undergraduate program at UIS headquarters

*Barrancabermeja

*Socorro

*Málaga

*Barbosa

2. Student Welfare Services.

3. Dining services.

4. Registration.

5. Submit vulnerability study request.

The results will be sent to the student’s email address between November 18 and 20, 2025.
