With pride and satisfaction, 270 students completed their training programs at the Language Institute of the Industrial University of Santander (UIS). In total, 26 students graduated from the Kids program, 67 from Pre-teenagers, 125 from Teenagers, and 52 from the Conversational program.
The Institute’s directors enthusiastically attended the ceremony, highlighting the commitment, discipline, and academic growth of the children and young people who are steadily advancing in their training as citizens of the world.
“This number of graduates is very significant for us because it reflects the community’s confidence in the work of the UIS Language Institute. The children are very happy and motivated to learn a new language, and that inspires us to continue our work,” said Claudia Cabrera, academic coordinator of the programs for children and young people.
The students emphasized that this achievement strengthens their opportunities to access the university degree they want, by significantly improving their English skills, an essential skill in higher education and the world of work.
“Since I was little, I have believed that English opens many doors, so I will be much better prepared when I enter university. In addition, in the future I will have greater opportunities to find a good job,” said María Paula López, a student at the UIS Language Institute.

They also expressed their gratitude to the teachers and administrators for their dedication and teaching skills during the training process, which promoted learning and confidence in using the language.
“I feel very excited and happy. The classes were educational and fun, with activities, games, and dynamics. No one wanted to miss it,” said Manuela Valentina Flórez Rhenals, a student at the UIS Language Institute.
The parents, who proudly attended the ceremony, highlighted the quality of the academic process and the constant support provided by the Institute.
“The process was demanding, but it was worth it. There were 12 levels, and I saw my daughter enjoy every class. She was always happy, and that is the most satisfying thing,” said Ana Milena Rhenals, a professor at the UIS School of History and Archival Science.
“We are very happy. My daughter studied from the first to the last level, and we have seen her high level of language proficiency and her ability to interact with native speakers. We are very grateful to the UIS,” added Armando López, an official at the University of Santander.
