As part of its efforts to strengthen sexual and reproductive health awareness within the university community, UIS Student Welfare will carry out the “More Condoms, Fewer Surprises” campaign, an initiative designed to create spaces for information, awareness, and learning about safe sexual practices.
The event will take place this Friday, September 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Faculty of Health and in front of the Library on the Central Campus. Students will find informative and educational stands where they can participate in activities focused on prevention and the use of barrier methods.
This activity is part of the sexual and reproductive health promotion and prevention strategies being implemented by the university to provide students with tools that contribute to their overall well-being.
A Day to Learn and Prevent
Participants will find a surprise basket featuring different prizes, including condoms, lubricants, bags, pens, notebooks, and planners. There will also be messages highlighting the potential risks associated with having unprotected sex.
The campaign takes place as part of the celebration of Love and Friendship Day, providing an opportunity to remember that care, responsibility, and access to information are also essential components of healthy sexuality.
Prevention Continues
One of the upcoming initiatives is “The Perfect Tie,” scheduled for October 31. Using a Halloween- and witch-themed concept, the activity will continue promoting prevention messages and safe sexual practices among members of the university community.
Through these initiatives, UIS Student Welfare continues to create accessible and educational spaces where students can obtain information and make responsible decisions about their sexual and reproductive health.
