Well-being and recognition: how the UIS celebrated Secretaries’ Day

Secretaries' Day

With a day of recreation, relaxation, and team-building, the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) celebrated Secretaries’ Day, recognizing the vital role they play in the institution’s development and the fulfillment of its mission.

“Our secretarial colleagues are essential to the development of our activities. That is why, year after year, we organize these events so that they feel valued and motivated, and to reiterate that their work is essential to the University’s administrative management,” stated Olga Patricia Chacón Arias, head of the Human Talent Management Division.

The honorees thanked the administration for organizing this event, which highlighted their work and strengthened their sense of belonging to the institution, motivating them to continue performing their duties with commitment and a dedication to service.

“It’s very rewarding that the University provides us with these kinds of spaces to socialize and relax. These initiatives motivate us to continue contributing from our respective positions so that UIS remains one of the best universities in the country,” said Luz Johanna Castellanos, secretary of the Office of Student Wellness.

During the event, participants enjoyed a varied program that included recreational activities, opportunities for socializing, and talks focused on holistic well-being.

“The activities were very well organized. It was very interesting to have different spaces focused on well-being, which made this event an experience of personal growth,” commented Ingrid García, academic secretary of the School of Electrical, Electronic, and Telecommunications Engineering.

“This work is very valuable. We have the support of our colleagues and administrators, which is reflected in spaces like this one, allowing us to feel included and part of the university community,” said Brian Mora, Secretary of Internal Disciplinary Control.

Through initiatives like this, the UIS contributes to the well-being and appreciation of its human talent, promoting positive and inclusive work environments for its entire community.
