The School of Chemical Engineering at the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) welcomed two undergraduate exchange students from Mexico and Ecuador, who will be participating in the academic exchange program during the 2025-2 period.
José Alejandro Hernández Pérez, a student from the Technological University of Tula in Mexico, highlighted the beauty of the university campus. “The university itself is so beautiful, there are so many trees, so many buildings, all the structures are very nice, and I’m really happy to be able to learn about the culture here,” he said. He also expressed his interest in “learning how to study and analyze, because when studying chemistry, we use different methodologies.”

For her part, Marjorie Fernanda Remache Chafla, a student at the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo (Ecuador), was enthusiastic about her new experience at the UIS. “I am very excited about the opportunity you have given me. I am happy to have come here and gotten to know new places. The university is beautiful, and the people have treated me very well. They are very kind, so I am very happy with this opportunity and very grateful as well,” she said.
With these types of exchanges, the UIS continues to strengthen its international presence and offer comprehensive training opportunities that promote cultural and academic exchange among students from different countries.
