In a meeting that strengthens scientific cooperation ties and opens up new opportunities for internationalisation, Professor and researcher Miguel González Meller from the University of Illinois (United States) visited the Industrial University of Santander (UIS), where he held meetings with representatives of the institution.
During his stay, Professor González Meller participated in various meetings with researchers, teachers and administrators, in which multiple possibilities for academic and scientific collaboration between the institutions were discussed. Among the topics discussed were the exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students, teachers and researchers, with the aim of enriching the educational and research processes in both regions.
Strategies for the formulation of joint projects were also analysed, aimed at seeking national and international funding sources to enable collaborative initiatives in key areas for agricultural, technological and educational development.
Another important item on the agenda was the analysis of mechanisms that contribute to strengthening postgraduate academic training through the incorporation of new methodologies, international experiences and partnerships that directly benefit the university community.
This visit represents a significant step towards institutional integration and the promotion of internationalisation processes at the UIS, through coordinated work with high-level universities and research centres such as the University of Illinois.
Professor González Meller’s visit to the UIS not only opens doors for future collaborations, but also consolidates a shared commitment to the advancement of knowledge, innovation and academic excellence on the global stage.
