The Socorro Campus continues to strengthen student well-being and retention by resuming the Listening Center sessions, a space for psychosocial support that promotes active listening, empathy, and emotional management within the university community. The initiative is carried out through individual and group meetings that allow students to express their concerns and receive professional guidance.
The process is supported by psychologist Angélica Lizarazo and social worker Cindy Núñez, who lead this space aimed at strengthening confidence and providing tools to deal with personal, academic, and emotional situations that may impact university life. “The university is not only a place for academic training, it should also be a safe place where students can talk, feel listened to, and find support to manage what they are going through,” said the psychologist, who also highlighted the importance of creating environments of trust on campus.
The Listening Center seeks to establish itself as a permanent source of support for students. Those who wish to learn more about this service or access support can call 3157614787 or visit the Student Welfare offices at the campus, where they will receive information about the sessions and types of support available.
