
The targeted inspection and surveillance visit carried out by the Ministry of Education was preventive in nature for health programs and medical-surgical specialties.
The objective of this preventive visit was related to the academic component, with the aim of verifying compliance with the regulations for the operation and continuous provision of public education services at the Industrial University of Santander, as well as the development and continuous provision of public services in accordance with the Constitution, the law, regulations, and its own statutes in terms of quality.
The purpose of this meeting was to verify compliance with the conditions for the provision of educational services in the academic offerings at the Industrial University of Santander, specifically in the various academic programs in medicine and health sciences, whose curriculum includes medical-surgical specialties.
To this end, the University provided information on each of the programs offered, including the current accredited registration indicating the duration of the program, date of approval and expiration, admission frequency, resolution number, whether or not it is accredited, date of resolution, validity in years, and expiration date of accredited registration. It also provided information on institutional procedures and regulations regarding admission requirements, costs, curriculum structure, admission, transfers and equivalencies, hospitals and clinics with teaching service agreements, rotations, faculty, evaluation mechanisms, improvement plans, and relations with graduates.
This visit will also be made to UNAB and UDES, institutions that offer medical-surgical specialties.
