The School of Law and Political Science of the Industrial University of Santander (UIS), in partnership with Corporación Compromiso and the Colombian Ombudsman’s Office, invites the university community and the general public to participate in the commemoration of National Human Rights Day, which will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, starting at 8:00 a.m. in the Agora of the Faculty of Human Sciences on the UIS Central Campus.
The event seeks to highlight the importance of defending, promoting, and guaranteeing human rights in the country, in a context that invites collective reflection and the construction of a more just and equitable society.
The event will feature the participation of experts, representatives of social organizations, and academics, who will address current challenges in human rights and the fundamental role of the university and citizens in strengthening them.
The UIS School of Law and Political Science is leading this initiative as part of its commitment to the comprehensive education of students and their involvement in public debate on social justice, equity, and the defense of human dignity.
