The Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) hosted the “EnrutaT REDSEG 2025 Seminar: Pro Connection. Ideas, Networks, and Employment,” a space where soon-to-be graduates and alumni from different universities in Santander took a key step on their path to the job market.
Organized by the Santander Network of Alumni and Graduate Programs (REDSEG), which brings together 16 universities from the department, the event offered keynote lectures, personalized counseling, mock interviews, and networking opportunities to strengthen both soft and professional skills demanded by today’s labor market.
“This seminar seeks to develop the necessary abilities to take that first step and find the ideal job. We designed three simultaneous coworking routes: for recent graduates, for those actively searching for a job, and for those interested in entrepreneurship,” explained David León, President of the REDSEG Steering Committee in Santander.

For her part, facilitator and coach Vita Paola Bolívar highlighted the importance of this transition: “At university we focus on technical skills, but once we leave, we need to know the rules of the game to present our value in the job market. This is the moment to design the life of your dreams, which is why spaces like this are so important, as they broaden graduates’ vision.”
The experience was also appreciated by attendees. Julieth Camargo, an Industrial Engineering graduate from UIS, stated: “These spaces are really cool because they give us key tips: how to build our résumé, how to face interviews, and how to create our personal brand. All of this is vital for those of us just starting out in the job market.”
The seminar is part of REDSEG’s initiatives, which since 2018 has been working on three strategic lines: employability, studies, and entrepreneurship. As part of this effort, a job fair was also announced for September 17, which will continue strengthening the connection between graduates and professional opportunities in Santander.
