On-site Undergraduate Admissions Open in Bucaramanga 2026-2: Take the step and become part of the UIS seal of excellence

With a robust and highly competitive academic offering, the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) has officially opened its admission process for on-site undergraduate programs in Bucaramanga— a key opportunity for thousands of young people who dream of entering one of the country’s most prestigious public institutions.

From Monday, May 4 to Tuesday, June 16, payment for application fees will be available, marking the first step toward accessing higher education. The process will continue with online registration through the portal inscripciones.uis.edu.co, open from May 6 to June 18, while admission results will be announced on Friday, June 26.

Clear requirements to apply
Applicants must meet basic yet demanding conditions:
• Have completed or be currently enrolled in 11th grade.
• Take the Saber 11 exam with validity from 2021 onward.
• Achieve at least 31 points in each evaluated area: Mathematics, Critical Reading, Social and Civic Studies, Natural Sciences, and English.

Additionally, UIS warns that any inconsistency in socioeconomic information, active sanctions, or prior academic records within the institution may lead to automatic cancellation of the application.

Special conditions to consider
Some programs such as Medicine, Nursing, Biology, Physics, Nutrition and Dietetics, Microbiology and Bioanalysis, History, and Archival Studies will begin classes in the first semester of 2027, requiring advance planning from applicants.

Likewise, programs such as the Bachelor’s Degree in Music require additional requirements, and those who obtained their high school diploma abroad must present official validation from the Ministry of Education.

A diverse and strategic academic offering
UIS offers programs across five major faculties:

Sciences: Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Bachelor’s in Mathematics, Chemistry.
Physical-Mechanical Engineering: Industrial Design, Civil Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science Engineering.
Physical-Chemical Engineering: Geology, Metallurgical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering.
Human Sciences: Economics, Philosophy, History and Archival Studies, Bachelor’s in Primary Education, Bachelor’s in Literature and Spanish Language, Bachelor’s in Foreign Languages with emphasis in English, Bachelor’s in Music, Social Work, Technical Program in Cultural and Creative Project Execution.
Health Sciences: Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Microbiology and Bioanalysis.

Zero tolerance for fraud
The institution is emphatic: any attempt at fraud in the admission process will result in disqualification for up to five years, in addition to possible legal sanctions.
