With 1,448 votes (38.6%), Nicolás Fernando Martínez Sandoval was elected as the Student Representative to the Academic Council for the 2026–2028 term.
The vote verification process took place this Thursday, May 14, at 4:06 p.m., in the presence of the Electoral Committee, observers, and candidates, through the Teams platform.
A total of 3,749 voters participated in the electoral process. Of these, 1,448 voted for Nicolás Fernando Martínez Sandoval; 1,215 for Esteban Yesid Puerta; 278 for Daniel Eduardo Naranjo; and 808 cast blank votes.
The election was conducted through electronic voting via the institutional website www.uis.edu.co, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
