The Industrial University of Santander continues its commitment to offering opportunities for access to higher education in Floridablanca through the Cultural and Creative Business Administration program. This initiative, which is linked to secondary education, currently allows 10th and 11th grade students to begin their university education at the technical-professional level, with the possibility of continuing to the technological level and completing their professional degree.
“It’s great because we can enter university in 10th grade. I’ve heard that the UIS is very good, with a very large campus, and I really want to enroll and take advantage of this opportunity,” said Yanith Mora Silvia, a student at the Rafael Pombo Institute.
With the opening of new spots for this program offered by preparatory cycles at the Floridablanca campus, young people from educational institutions in the municipality have been able to learn about this academic alternative that opens the doors of the UIS to strengthen their skills in cultural and creative management, responding to the needs of the territory and promoting local development.

Registration is currently open for the 2026-1 academic period, aimed at young people aged 16 and over who are enrolled in secondary education, including CLEI 5 and 6 students. Registration is free of charge, and applicants can benefit from the National Government’s Free Education Policy as an important support for access to and retention in higher education.
“I think it’s a great opportunity for us public school students to have this option to get closer to our professional dreams at the UIS,” said María José Oyola, a student at the Gabriel García Márquez Technical Institute.
Classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, February 2, consolidating this alliance between the UIS and Floridablanca’s public educational institutions with the aim of offering more and better training opportunities for new generations.
