Since October 2022, the construction and modernization of the facilities of the School of Health began.
Today, shortly before the completion of the finishing phase for the official delivery of this robust building, its architect and designer, Giancarlo Mazzantti, visited, toured its halls, corridors, auditoriums, and said “the work of modernization of the Faculty of Health, is part of a master plan of ‘the whole block’ that should turn this project into a university, medical and green citadel. A high-tech building that could serve as a symbol for the university and for Colombia”.
The experience of the designer Mazzantti is widely recognized through the execution of multiple projects that empower transformations, such as “the library of Spain, León de Greiff library park, and he has received 15 national and international awards in categories such as urban and landscape design and architecture and urbanism.
His architectural works include schools, libraries, parks, convention centers, and the Santa Fe Foundation. This last project has contributed to his experience in works in the health sector.
“The novelty of this structure is the glass channel, the peaks, which give a technological, scientific, laboratory image when viewed on the outside of the building. The peaks that can be seen on the roof refer to cardiograms, movements, tensions, which are known medical references,” said the creator of the design of this great masterpiece.
