The UIS Socorro Campus is modernizing its technological infrastructure with the implementation of new technological resources. With the arrival of 60 high-performance computers and 145 desktop computers, the delivery of 205 computers will be completed in 2025, strengthening the teaching-learning process and academic management at the institution.

The equipment was distributed among four computer rooms on the Convento Campus, three computer rooms on the Bicentenario Campus, administrative spaces, and faculty rooms, representing a significant advance in the modernization of the technological infrastructure. In this way, students and teachers will have greater opportunities to access up-to-date and efficient tools that strengthen learning, academic management, and knowledge production.
In this regard, the Coordinator of the Socorro Campus, engineer Julio Alfonso Martínez Molina, emphasized that “as of today, all computers at the UIS Socorro Campus used by the university community are new, which increases capacity and improves equipment performance, ensuring efficiency for users. We would like to thank Rector Dr. Hernán Porras Díaz for this important investment, which allows for technological upgrades at our Regional Campus”.

The new computers will strengthen student training, optimize internal processes, and are an example of the institutional commitment to the academic growth of the campus.
