Registration for the election of the faculty representative to the Consejo Superior, convened through Resolution No. 985 of 2026, will be open from Tuesday, August 18, at 7:00 a.m. until Monday, August 24, at 4:00 p.m.
Faculty members interested in submitting their candidacy, in accordance with the General Statute, must belong to the academic rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor at the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS). They must also express their interest by email —preferably from their institutional account— to sgeneral@uis.edu.co
Applicants should note that the email must clearly state their free and informed intention to register as a candidate and must include a 3 x 4 cm color photograph as an attachment.
On August 26, the Secretaría General will publish the list of candidates once compliance with the eligibility requirements for the faculty representation on the Consejo Superior has been verified.

Once voting has concluded, at approximately 4:06 p.m., and after the vote count has been completed, the name of the new faculty representative to the Consejo Superior for the 2026–2028 term will be announced.
