Mauricio Ramírez, professor at the School of Microbiology, participated as a guest lecturer in the Applied Mycology course at the School of Microbiology of the University of Antioquia.
He also participated as a speaker with a poster presentation and an oral conference at the XII RedBio Meeting. This is a network for biotechnology and bioeconomics throughout Latin America. The event took place at EAFIT University.
The poster, entitled “Monitoring yeast inoculants in wine production using MSP-PCR fingerprinting and fermentation performance parameters,” is the result of a project funded by the UIS Vice-Rector’s Office for Research and Extension.
In turn, Professor Ramírez presented an oral presentation on “Biotechnological applications of yeasts isolated in Colombia: a systematic review assisted by ASReview Lab as a learning aid.” This work was carried out within the framework of the elective course “Fungi and their industrial applications,” a subject in the Master’s Degree in Microbiology.
Congratulations to the professor for his active participation in academic events!
