
Julián Rodríguez Ferreira is an outstanding professor and scientist at the Universidad Industrial de Santander and thanks to his experience and impact on society he will be one of the speakers at TEDxBucaramanga to be held this February 20 at the main auditorium of the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga (Unab).
He is attached to the School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications. He is a UIS graduate, since childhood he has had a passion for astronomy and space sciences, which is why he continued his postgraduate studies at the Paris Observatory and the University of Paris-Saclay, to the point of completing his postdoctoral studies in this area of knowledge.
He then returned to his native Bucaramanga to become a professor at the Universidad Industrial de Santander and from there continue his scientific research, in addition to motivating new generations to study these sciences.
In addition to his projects, he has stood out in recent years for representing Colombia in three of the expeditions carried out by Colombian scientists to Antarctica.

TEDxBucaramanga talks are given by the most recognized personalities in Santander for their impact in areas such as science, education, activism, the arts and the corporate sector.
TEDx is a program of local, independent events run under the license of TED, a global non-profit organization whose mission is to spread powerful ideas in the form of short, impactful talks.
Rodriguez Ferreira’s presentation will begin at 9:00 a.m., while the event will run until 5:00 in the afternoon.
