In turn, Javier Alejandro Acevedo Guerrero, director of the School of Law and Political Science at UIS, said: “It has been a challenge for public universities to resume academic programs after a pandemic. This process was not only to open the doors, but to adapt to new methodologies; now, as institutions, we must offer new studies for professionals, who must be amply qualified for the challenges that law provides in society”.
The event highlighted the graduation and diploma awarding to 27 professionals in the Specialization in Constitutional Law program, 24 professionals in the Specialization in Administrative Law and 16 professionals in the Specialization in Legal-Procedural Institutions.
UIS and UNAL Agreement.
The School of Law and Political Science is aware of the need to offer postgraduate programs with the academic quality guidelines that govern the Universidad Industrial de Santander; for this reason, the initiative to offer postgraduate programs through the specific agreement of Academic Cooperation with the Universidad Nacional de Colombia materialized.
For this reason, since 2014, agreements have been signed for the offer of academic programs, which have been very well received. In this way, academic relations are strengthened, advancing specialized educational work not only to provide professionals with this type of training, but also to form an academic community, capable of facing the social challenges that allow the consolidation of the rule of law in our country. The agreement between universities will continue with a view to creating a wide and new offer of postgraduate programs and inviting the legal community to be part of this academic training process that will provide the necessary tools to perform in the labor and social sector as a lawyer.
