With the solidarity extension project “Creating, reinterpreting and disseminating Colombian Andean music”, the professor of the School of Arts Robinson Giraldo Villegas was a speaker at the III International Meeting of Young People for Research in Tenerife, held at the University of La Laguna, Tenerife, Spain.
“For me it is very gratifying to once again present the results of this project in an academic event of international impact. I believe that through extension projects, not only the University is taken to society, but also new knowledge, innovation, internationalization, etc., can be generated,” says Professor Robinson.
This project during the year 2024 has been presented at the International Trombone Festival 2024, held at Texas Christian University and at the 3rd International Conference Psychology and Music – Interdisciplinary Encounters, held in Zagreb.
Through Creando, reinterpretando y divulgado la música andina colombiana, in 2023 three didactic concerts were developed in schools in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga, 8 unpublished musical works were created for the bass trombone and piano format, which have been premiered worldwide in different artistic events. Also, the musical repertoire created was recorded in audio, being to date, the management of a record production.
