
Professors and students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports participated in different academic events at the University of Pamplona in order to disseminate and promote the Masters in Sports Talent Development in depth and research to potential applicants, speakers and researchers.
Professors Fabio Villafrades González, Deira Eliana Mendoza, Jorge Enrique Buitrago Espitia; together with Camilo Andrés Villamizar Sierra, physiotherapist of the UIS sports teams, assigned to Student Welfare; in addition to the students of the Master’s Degree in Sports Talent Development Research: Santiago José Arenas González and Edwin Yesid Jiménez Rincón, participated in the II International, IX National and XII Regional Meeting of Research in Education, Physical Activity Sciences and Health.

The presentations were entitled: ‘Physical culture beyond exercise’ and ‘Risk factors of injury in athletes of the Universidad Industrial de Santander’, in addition to application and research work that have been carried out by the professors and students mentioned above.
This event is made with the purpose of updating knowledge and new trends in education, sports science, recreation and health, in turn that both teachers and students participate to generate new knowledge.
