As part of the outreach process carried out by the University, the UIS Malaga Campus held a workshop on inspiration and creativity through drawing with sixth grade students of the Isidoro Miranda Morantes Institute.

The activity, led by the Student Welfare area and the Cognitive Pedagogical Strengthening (FPC) program of the Academic Excellence System (SEA), aims to foster creativity and artistic expression, allowing students to represent ideas and feelings through art.

“These spaces strengthen the articulation of the UIS Malaga Campus with the institutions of the region, promoting the integral development of students,” highlighted the psychopedagogue of the UIS Malaga Campus, Martha Liliana Toscano.

The workshop was led by Professor Hender Moreno, master in plastic and urban arts, who immersed the students in a world of creativity from practical exercises. “We are working with the line and its recognition, exploring how to create figures without using curves. Later, we will incorporate other geometric shapes such as the square and the circle,” explained the teacher.

Sulay Nieto García, teacher of Spanish at the Isidoro Miranda Morantes Institute, highlighted the importance of these activities and the synergy with the UIS Malaga Campus to reach the schools.
“These spaces allow students to develop their skills in a more creative and dynamic way, strengthening both their personal expression and interpersonal skills” she said.

With this type of initiatives, the Universidad Industrial de Santander-Sede Málaga continues to carry out outreach and articulation with different actors in the region.
