As part of the activities promoted by the UIS Emprende program, students participated in a learning space at the Floridablanca campus to strengthen their skills in topics related to digital marketing and the use of web tools with the aim of giving greater impetus to their business ideas.
“On this occasion, we gave a brief introduction to this topic of interest: explaining a little about what it is for and how to apply strategies to your ventures in a simple way and on a low budget. The idea is to talk about the importance of these issues and how to implement them in everyday life to start your businesses with these tips,” explained Laura Liliana López, a professional from the UIS Vice-Rector’s Office for Research and Extension.

The informative talk served as a preview of what the Eureka 2025 Virtual Entrepreneurship Summit will be like, an inspiring space that will feature the participation of prominent entrepreneurs to share their successful experiences and motivate UIS students and the general public to develop innovative business ideas.
“When you have an entrepreneurial idea, you face several challenges, which, through the experiences of these great entrepreneurs, we can enrich our knowledge and acquire tools that help us become more visible, have clearer ideas, and, above all, solidify those foundations to be able to promote and take our ventures to another level,” said Yesenia Barón, a UIS student.
The Industrial University of Santander invites all entrepreneurs to register for this free virtual event via Zoom. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 29, starting at 8:00 a.m.
