The UIS Barrancabermeja Campus commemorated International Dance Day with a day dedicated to artistic expression. Students, faculty, and visitors enjoyed various dance performances inspired by Colombia’s cultural traditions.
Throughout the event, different groups showcased choreographies that highlighted the richness and diversity of Colombian dance. Each performance served as an opportunity to recognize the importance of culture as part of holistic development within the university environment.
Jacel Mora, head of Student Well-being, emphasized: “Dance is a powerful tool for emotional well-being, integration, and the recognition of our identities. From Student Well-being, we promote these spaces so that our students can express themselves and grow through art and culture.”
Through events like this, the Industrial University of Santander reaffirms its commitment to comprehensive education, student well-being, and the promotion of culture across its regional campuses.
“It was a wonderful day. I loved seeing how dance brings us together and fills us with joy. Events like this make you feel more connected to the university,” said María López, event attendee.
