
Reaffirming their commitment to academic excellence, the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) and the ESE Hospital Universitario de Santander signed two agreements for 10 years: 1. Renewal of the Teaching and Service relationship and 2. Inter-institutional cooperation for research, innovation and knowledge transfer.
The first agreement is aimed at strengthening the Teaching-Service relationship, allowing students of undergraduate and graduate programs in Medicine, Nursing, Microbiology and Bioanalysis, Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy Regency to carry out training practices in real care scenarios, integrating theory and clinical practice.
The second agreement establishes a strategic alliance to develop joint research, innovation and extension activities, generating applicable knowledge and contributing to the solution of health problems in the environment, with a view to the continuous improvement of services.
The signing of these agreements, led by the rector of the UIS, Professor Hernán Porras Díaz, and by the manager of the ESE HUS, Ricardo Arturo Hoyos Lanziano, marks a key step in the unified action to promote the training of human talent in health, the generation of knowledge and innovation for the benefit of the region.
With this signature, the UIS and the ESE HUS ratify their commitment to work together for high quality health care and for the training of integral, committed and socially responsible professionals.
This new agreement contributes to the fulfillment of the requirements for the HUS to achieve accreditation as a university hospital.
