The School of Law and Political Science of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) invites the entire academic community to participate in the eighth session of the Low Maus Chair, entitled ‘Non-human sentient beings, animal liberation’. This event will take place next Thursday, April 24 at 3:00 p.m. in the Agora of Human Sciences of the UIS.
On this occasion, the session will address issues related to conservation in birds, avitourism and birdwatching, promoting a reflection on the protection of non-human living beings and their importance in our environment. The talk will include the participation of prominent speakers, such as Karol Celis, a biologist from the UIS and member of the EXPLORA Tourism Cooperative, and Daniel Badillo, co-founder of Sonora and a graduate of the same institution.
The Low Maus Chair seeks to foster dialogue and awareness about the relationship between humans and animals, promoting an ethical and responsible vision towards biodiversity. The invitation is open to the entire community interested in expanding their knowledge and participating in this important discussion.
