The women’s basketball and soccer teams will represent the UIS in the Regional of the Ascún University Games to be held in May in Tunja.
Both teams lost to the Technological Units of Santander, so in the capital of Boyacá they will compete in search of a place in the National phase.
“We have a team that has a base of one year, we have worked to improve, we have a very united group and today we fought, but we had shortcomings and with the virtues of the other team left them as winners. Now we will have a cycle of more preparation for Tunja,” said Miguel Escudero Hernandez, coach of the Women’s National Soccer Team.
On Friday began the action of the chess, field tennis and basketball 3×3 selections, sports that will have programming throughout the weekend and thus achieve the quotas for the following stages.
“For me it is a pride to represent again the UIS in the games, I do it with my best effort and dedication, it is my fourth year and we will continue with the trajectory,” said César Darío Rivera Suárez, student of Petroleum Engineering and member of the Chess Selection.
This is the Zonal of the Ascún University Games, in May will be the Regional in Tunja and from there the best will go on to the National, which will be held in Bucaramanga.
