The UIS dignifies the public with the delivery of 150 offices to directors and teachers of the Faculty of Health.

In a gesture that reaffirms its commitment to the quality of public education and the welfare of its academic community, the Universidad Industrial de Santander, UIS, delivered 150 offices to directors, teachers and administrative staff of the Faculty of Health. The new spaces, located in the imposing Scientific Complex for Health and Life Sciences Research, represent a transcendental step in the dignification of the public sector and in the improvement of conditions for the academic exercise.

During a guided tour of the new complex, the school directors toured the modern facilities that will now house the Dean’s Office, the School and Department Heads, as well as the professors. Each office has been designed not only as a physical space, but also as a place for meetings, reflection, rigorous work and, above all, closeness to the students.

The reaction of the teachers was immediate. With emotion and gratitude, they emphasized the importance of having dignified spaces that value their work and place it at the center of the university’s mission.

“I visited the facilities of the new complex of the Faculty of Health, the facilities are very spacious. Each professor will have a generous space where he/she will be able to attend to his/her students, feel in a harmonious space, with a lot of space, which dignifies the teaching work,” said Alberto Angel Martin, director of the School of Nutrition and Dietetics.

The new spaces not only favor comfort, but also consolidate the principle that public must be synonymous with excellence. The UIS, in its commitment to renew infrastructure and strengthen training processes, sends a clear message: the public is cared for, respected and enhanced.

This delivery of offices is part of a broader project that seeks to turn the School of Health into a national reference in research, training and community care, the best in Latin America. The Scientific Complex for Health and Life Sciences Research is today a reality that articulates teaching, research and social projection in a single environment, for the benefit of society as a whole.

In addition, the dignification of work spaces also translates into motivation, well-being and commitment. For teachers, having offices with optimal conditions not only improves the quality of working life, but also enhances their ability to support students and academic and research production.
