With the active participation of deans, school directors, department heads and academic teams, the Academic Vice Rector’s Office of the Universidad Industrial de Santander held the Workshop for the Formulation of Initiatives, within the framework of the strategic project Teaching Mission UIS 2030.

During the workshop, the four strategic challenges defined by the Mission were addressed, aimed at strengthening university teaching from an integral, contextual and transformative perspective. Through collaborative work, the participants formulated project proposals aligned with the strategies of each challenge and with the institutional lines of action, focused on the development of socioemotional competencies in the academic community, the appropriation of the UIS identity as a key element in education, the transition towards student-centered pedagogical models, as well as the linking of teaching with the challenges of the global environment.

This workshop represented a significant milestone in the process of implementing the UIS Teaching Mission 2030, marking the transition from collective reflection to the formulation of concrete actions aimed at transforming the dynamics of teaching and learning at the university.

With this type of spaces, the UIS reaffirms its commitment to quality, relevant and forward-looking higher education, at the service of regional, national and international development.
