Student Welfare of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), presents the sixth edition of Estar Bien, its institutional newsletter, which this time has as its central chronicle the inspiring life story of César Miguel Gómez Delgado, a student of Philosophy. César has managed to combine his love for academia with dance, overcoming various personal obstacles to the rhythm of bachata, merengue and salsa.
In this edition, the reader will also find a clear and precise summary of two key programs offered by Bienestar Estudiantil: “Consumo Cuidado” and “Somos Todos” (We Are All). The former is focused on the prevention of addictive behaviors, while the latter seeks to guarantee access, permanence and graduation of students belonging to groups with special constitutional protection.
The publication also includes an article prepared by the coordinator of the Student Welfare Food Services, which explains in detail the rigorous process of safety control in the university dining hall, ensuring that the food offered is always fresh and in optimal conditions for student consumption.
And as vacations are just around the corner, Professor Juan Carlos Aceros, from the School of Social Work, provides useful recommendations to make traveling an enriching and safe experience.
