The Academic Council of the Universidad Indsutrial de Santander, taking into account that the tuition fees for the University’s academic programs are linked to the current legal minimum monthly wage and considering the significant increase established for 2026, has developed an initiative aimed at mitigating the impact of this increase on tuition fees.
This initiative will be presented for analysis and decision at an extraordinary meeting of the Superior Council, which is expected to be convened during the course of this week.
In view of the above and with the aim of providing greater flexibility to students, the Academic Council authorized academic enrollment to be carried out in accordance with the academic calendar, even if the financial tuition payment has not been made. However, it should be noted that the validity of such academic enrollment will be conditional upon the corresponding payment being made within the established deadline.
If the tuition payment is not recorded within the specified period, the academic registration will be void, without the need for additional communication.
The University will inform the university community in a timely manner about possible adjustments to the tuition payment, in the event that the initiative is approved by the Higher Council. In the meantime, the conditions of flexibility outlined above will remain in effect.
