Professors of the Gynecology and Obstetrics program have worked in a committed manner to comply with each of the phases of quality self-evaluation and to advance in the renewal of the program’s accreditation before the Ministry of National Education.

Recently, the “Indicator Evaluation Workshop” was held. The meeting took place in the Bienestar Pro building and had the active participation of students and professors of the program.

During the workshop, six key indicators of the evaluation model were evaluated in order to analyze progress, identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen quality.

Subsequently, a “Focus Group” was held. During the meeting, the academic relevance and social relevance of the program were discussed from the point of view of key actors in the health sector. This space had the valuable participation of Juan David Suárez Moreno, graduate of the program; Luz Estella Pinzón, director of Profamilia; Ana Patricia González, University professional at the Santander Health Secretariat; José Orlando Quintero, assistant manager of Medical Services of the Santander University Hospital; Mónica Beltrán, graduate representing Inutero – Center for Maternal Fetal Care; Lucía Mora Valenzuela; the secretary of the Department of Gynecobstetrics, Yolima Jaimes and the professors of the program: Hermes Jaimes, Carlos Hernán Becerra, Miguel Ángel Alarcón, Jackeline Jaimes and Adriana Inés González.

The Department thanks the attendees for their commitment and contributions to the continuous improvement of the program.
