School of Nursing professor publishes book on electrocardiography

UIS professor Judy Ximena Ramos Garzón has published the book Electrocardiography for Everyone, an educational compilation of a complex subject that explains in detail, with clarity and simplicity, the basics of electrocardiography and provides a systematic guide to interpreting electrocardiograms. The book is divided into chapters on the main arrhythmias and their treatment, presented in an enjoyable and understandable way. In addition, it contains a separate chapter on acute coronary syndrome and another on cardiac arrest rhythms, and each chapter ends with a self-assessment that allows the reader to measure their level of understanding and learning.

She is a nurse, specialist in intensive care, master’s degree in cardiovascular nursing, and professor at the School of Nursing at the Industrial University of Santander.

This book is intended for teachers and students as a pedagogical tool for the development of the theoretical and practical components of clinical subjects related to electrocardiography in adults.
