The Colombian Journal of Psychiatry recognized Dr. Douglas Enrique Quintero Latorre with the Vida y Obra 2024 award for his dedication and commitment to the work of promoting the importance of mental health in the country.
Dr. Quintero is a Physician, UIS. Specialist in Psychiatry from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Master in Education from Universidad Javeriana. He was a professor at the Faculty of Health of the UIS from 1979 to 2005, founder of the ISNOR Psychiatric Clinic, founding member of the Colombian Association of Biological Psychiatry, founding member of the Colombian College of Neuropsychopharmacology, founding member of the Santander Society of Psychiatry, honorary member of the Colombian Association of Psychiatry.
This nomination is a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding career and significant contributions to the field of mental health.
