The residents of the Specialization in Pediatrics Yuli Estefanía Rojas, Angélica María Pineda and Silvia Natalia Suárez Mantilla, participated in the XVI Colombian Congress of Child Neurology, organized by the Colombian Association of Child Neurology, held in Bogotá from May 22 to 24.
During the event, they made an oral poster presentation, strengthening the academic visibility of the Department of Pediatrics and contributing to the scientific dialogue in the field of pediatric neurosciences.
In another academic space, the third year resident, Silvia Natalia Suárez Mantilla, represented the Department of Pediatrics at the 31st Congress of the International Pediatric Association, held from May 9 to 11 in Mexico City.
Her participation was through the oral presentation of her thesis entitled: “Adherence to the 2011 American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines for the management and supervision of children with Down syndrome”, contributing to the international academic exchange and strengthening the commitment to comprehensive care in vulnerable pediatric populations.
