The Faculty of Sciences at the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) has opened registrations for Advanced Subject Courses, an academic option aimed at young people who wish to enter undergraduate programs in the 2026-2 term, as well as students who were not admitted or who, even if admitted, must wait a semester to start their university studies.
These courses allow students to strengthen their knowledge in basic subjects and also offer the benefit of transferring the grade obtained during the first academic semester at UIS or any other university in the country, provided the student passes with a grade equal to or higher than 3.2. This grade will be valid for two years.
For the 2026-1 term, the available subjects include Calculus I, Linear Algebra I, and Medical Biosciences I, fundamental courses for programs in Engineering, Geology, Physics, Mathematics Teaching, Medicine, Chemistry, and Industrial Design, among others.
The registration fee is $50,000 COP, which is non-refundable. Course fees are as follows:
- Calculus I: $500,000 COP
- Linear Algebra I: $500,000 COP
- Medical Biosciences I: $1,000,000 COP
