he Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) has opened the registration process for undergraduate academic programs in distance and virtual modalities for the 2027-1 period. Applicants can now begin the process, keeping in mind the dates established by the University for registration fee payment, web platform registration, and the publication of results.
Registration fee payment will be available from Monday, September 28 to Tuesday, November 24, 2026. Subsequently, applicants can complete their web registration from Tuesday, September 29 to Thursday, November 26, 2026.
The publication of results is scheduled for Thursday, December 10, 2026, the date on which applicants will be able to check the outcome of their admission process.
Registration Costs According to Sisbén
The registration fee for an undergraduate program is determined according to the Sisbén group to which each applicant belongs.
For those classified in Sisbén A (A1–A5), the registration fee is $38,100 COP. In the case of Sisbén B (B1–B7), the cost is $76,200 COP, while applicants belonging to Sisbén C (C1–C10) must pay $114,300 COP.
Meanwhile, individuals classified in Sisbén groups C (C11–C18), D (D1–D18), and those without a Sisbén classification will have a registration fee of $152,500 COP for an undergraduate program. These amounts correspond to the provisions established in Superior Council Agreement 056 of 2023.
Requirements to Participate in the Admission Process
To participate in the admission process, applicants must have completed and passed the eleventh grade and have taken the ICFES or Saber 11° test, regardless of the date it was taken.
For those who obtained their high school diploma or its equivalent abroad, if admitted, they must present the validation of their diploma to the Ministry of National Education, in case this procedure has not yet been completed.
The Universidad Industrial de Santander also reminds applicants that the use of fraudulent means during the registration or admission process results in a five-year disqualification from registering or being admitted to any academic program at the University, without prejudice to any applicable criminal penalties.
Additionally, individuals who already hold a professional academic degree awarded by a university institution recognized by the Ministry of National Education must pay a tuition fee equivalent to two current legal monthly minimum wages (SMMLV), in accordance with Superior Council Agreement 016 of 2008.
