Prominent Spanish psychologist will give a lecture at the School of Arts of the UIS

The School of Arts of the Universidad Industrial de Santander invites to the conference “What is and how to overcome anxiety in musicians”, by the renowned Spanish psychologist, Guillermo Dalia Cirujeda, PhD in Psychology and graduate of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Valencia. He is also a specialist in Clinical Psychology and psychologist of the Music and Performing Arts Medicine Unit of the Hospital de Manises, will give a talk entitled.

The conference will be held next Wednesday, May 28 at 12 noon, where Guillermo Dalia will address the nature of anxiety and its specific impact on music professionals, especially in moments of performance. The activity not only seeks to provide tools to manage anxiety, but also to initiate a series of lectures focused on the musician’s health. Through these talks, it is expected to foster the creation of a community that, in the future, will allow the development of a line of research related to the topic from the research group A Tempo.

The conference will be held at the “Sonósfera” recording studio, located on the third floor of the School of Arts. Admission is free, although those interested are advised to take into account the limited capacity. This is a unique opportunity for students, musicians and health professionals to delve into a topic of great relevance in the artistic world.
