The Institute for Regional Outreach and Distance Education at the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) is preparing for a new edition of the UIS Entrepreneurs Meeting, which this year reaches its twentieth edition with a special focus: giving a voice to family businesses that, through effort and unity, have managed to grow and consolidate themselves in the business world.
The event will take place on September 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the Agora of the Faculty of Human Sciences on the UIS central campus. There, students, graduates, teachers, and administrators will have the opportunity to hear firsthand stories of businesses built between parents, children, siblings, or couples who have faced challenges and managed to succeed without losing the essence that unites them: family.
During the day, attendees will be able to reflect and discuss three fundamental themes:
– The value of family entrepreneurship.
– How to overcome challenges and strengthen bonds.
– Strategies for growth while maintaining the essence of family.
More than an academic forum, the 20th UIS Entrepreneurs Meeting will be a space to recognize the resilience, creativity, and commitment that characterize family businesses, considered a key driver of economic and social development.

The invitation is extended to all members of the UIS community, students, graduates, faculty, and administrators who are part of a family business and wish to share their experience.
