The Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), faithful to its commitment to regionalization and democratization of access to higher education, announces the opening of registration for the Competition Course, a strategy to strengthen and classify applicants to university programs in the municipality of Saravena (Arauca).
This initiative will allow young people from the department to access high quality public education without having to travel to other regions of the country. From the second academic semester of 2025, three undergraduate programs will be offered in classroom mode, designed to respond to the needs of the territory and promote regional development with UIS seal.
“This competition course will be held for three weeks, in three different areas of knowledge such as mathematics, natural sciences and reading and writing, and will be offered by professors of our Universidad Industrial de Santander in the municipality of Saravena, in a face-to-face manner” said Jorge Villamizar Morales, UIS Manager in Territories.
Who can apply?
If you are a graduate of an educational institution in the department of Arauca between 2020 and 2025, this is your opportunity to be part of the most recognized university in northeastern Colombia.
The UIS Admission Course in Territorios – Saravena, Arauca will be held from June 24 to July 10, 2025. Similarly, the admission test will be held next Friday, July 11, and will be the first step to qualify for the academic programs that the UIS will offer in the Arauca territory.
