This Sunday, February 27, the ‘Vecinos y Amigos’ program of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) invites the entire UIS community and the general public to celebrate its sixth anniversary, which will be themed ‘Life on Wheels’.
The day, which begins at 8:00 a.m., will be full of surprises including an exhibition of classic and antique cars with vintage artists, artistic, recreational and sports novelties in addition to the usual programming, Cycle playful walk and characters that will connect them as a family. The main shows will feature a birthday serenade and tribute to the King of pop Michael Jackson at the Luis A. Calvo auditorium.
The objective of ‘VECINOS Y AMIGOS’ over the years has been to offer the community in general spaces to encourage the promotion of art and culture as a means of transforming society, also generating spaces of coexistence between the various groups that compose it. Similarly, generate experiences to surprise, delight and enliven the curiosity of children, youth, parents and grandparents.
Special anniversary program:
8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Activity: Exhibition of classic and antique cars (25 to 50 cars).
Invited clubs: CLAS Club (Classics and Antiques of Santander and Volkswagen Club Santander).
Place: Calle de los estudiantes (from the Auditorium to the boundary with the open air auditorium José Antonio Galán) and down the street in front of the Central Library to the Faculty of Physical and Chemical Engineering.
