The School of Nutrition and Dietetics, committed to the academic and professional excellence of its students and graduates, considers it vital to provide continuous learning spaces that favor reflection, knowledge exchange and the strengthening of professional competencies. These conferences also allow the creation of a closer link between the university community, promoting collaborative learning and the creation of support networks that enrich the professional practice of nutrition.

“Nutrijueves con experto: updating sessions for graduates and students of the Universidad Industrial de Santander community” arises as a response to the need to keep graduates and students of the Nutrition and Dietetics program updated on the most recent advances in such a dynamic environment as the different areas of nutrition and dietetics. Constant updating is essential to offer quality care to users and to adapt professional practices to new research, technologies and health trends.

This type of activity contributes not only to academic training, but also to the integral development of future and current nutrition professionals, who will have a direct impact on health promotion and disease prevention in society.

Human Talent
The refresher courses are conducted by qualified staff and professors assigned to the School of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Health, Universidad Industrial de Santander.

It will also have the support of nutritionists who are outstanding graduates in the different areas of Nutrition.

Virtual platform
Use of Zoom: The conferences will be carried out using the Zoom platform. This platform will be used for the lectures as well as for the interactive question and answer sessions.

Organization of the sessions
Duration and structure: The sessions will be divided into sessions of specific duration (40 minutes), with question and answer breaks of 20 minutes. Sessions will be organized in thematic blocks addressing different areas of nutrition.

Moderators: a moderator will be assigned for each session to facilitate interactions, manage questions from participants and ensure that the event runs smoothly.
Speakers: each talk will be presented by experts on the topic, who will share their knowledge and answer questions from participants at the end of their presentation.

Duration of the course: virtual sessions, every month, on the third Thursday of each month, with an average duration of 1 hour for a total of 12 hours per year. Dates are established according to the attached schedule and indications.
