
Professor Lina María Vera Cala, Physician and Surgeon UIS, 1997. Master in Epidemiology UIS, 2005. D in Epidemiology from the University of Wisconsin, 2008, and currently, Dean of the Faculty of Health, and president of the Colombian Association of Medical Schools, ASCOFAME, participated in the World Congress on Medical Education – 2025, held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand (Southeast Asia).
His participation in the congress was as a lecturer and speaker of a poster. The conference presented during the event was entitled “Psychosocial risk factors developed during the first year of surgical and medical residency training in the Colombian population”.
In turn, the poster “Effectiveness of a pedagogical approach to teaching chemistry in medical education”, aimed to reflect an improvement in performance and equity in the teaching of medical chemistry. Supporting retention and success, particularly among vulnerable student groups.
