Excitement for the 35th UIS Athletic Race, which will take place on Sunday, March 15, at the central campus of the Industrial University of Santander (UIS), is already being felt in Bucaramanga with the official start of bib number distribution—an important step that marks the final stretch toward one of the region’s most traditional sporting events, organized by the university.
According to the event’s logistics information, bib numbers will be distributed at the university’s Coliseum, specifically in offices 1 and 5. Distribution will take place in continuous shifts from Monday to Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The organizers have established a differentiated schedule to ensure a smooth process:
- UIS students (male and female): from Monday, March 2 to Friday, March 13.
- Professors, administrative staff, alumni, external participants, and master category (M/F): from Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13.
The UIS Athletic Race will bring together participants from multiple categories, consolidating its role as a space for university and community integration that promotes sports and healthy lifestyles.
With bib distribution underway, organizers are finalizing logistical preparations to guarantee safety, medical support, and assistance along the course, as anticipation grows among the thousands of runners who will line up at the starting point in this year’s edition.
