
The PhD student in Biomedical Sciences, Nathalia Jones Cifuentes, participated in the prestigious international symposium “Tumor immunology meets oncology XIX”, where she won third place for the best scientific poster. The event was held recently in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany.
Her research was developed under the mentorship of Ph.D Bladimiro Rincón Orozco, professor of the Department of Basic Sciences of the School of Medicine of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, and Ph.D Michael Bachmann, professor of the University of Dresden, Germany.
The event was organized by the Faculty of Medicine “Theodor Fontane” of Brandenburg, in collaboration with the Institute of Translational Immunology of the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg.
Nathalia’s work, focused on cell therapies with modified T cells against solid tumors, stands out for its scientific quality and impact in the field of tumor immunology. This recognition reflects not only her commitment and academic excellence, but also the international projection of our students and researchers.
